Macchi is a highly proficient transactional and litigation attorney with expertise in the areas of Cannabis, Hemp, Business, Real Estate, Hospitality (Food & Beverage), Pro Sports Arbitration, Transactions, Civil Litigation, and contract drafting, development, interpretation, and negotiation.
Macchi found early financial stability as a successful bartender and manager in the hospitality industry. He worked in leading roles at some of the world’s most prominent establishments, including Encore Beach Club (Las Vegas), Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub (Las Vegas), Tao Beach (Las Vegas), Tao Restaurant (Las Vegas), HQ2 Dayclub (Atlantic City), NOTO Nightclub (Philadelphia), Cellar Bar at The Bryant Park Hotel (New York), Flute Champagne Lounge (New York), The Hudson Hotel (New York), NYC Best Bars (New York), The Tilted Kilt (San Diego), and Hyde Beach (Miami). Macchi combines a complex and rare legal skillset with extensive experience throughout the hospitality industry.
Macchi grew up in Logan Township, New Jersey, a place he called home for nearly 25 years. Macchi graduated with honors from Kingsway Regional High School in Swedesboro, New Jersey. Macchi went on to attend Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership. Shortly thereafter, Macchi attended the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California for one year, and transferred to the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada where he earned his Juris Doctor.
At the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, Macchi became a member of the inaugural class of the Small Business & Nonprofit Legal Clinic. Macchi also spent six months as a legal extern in the housing department for U.S. Senator Harry Reid.
Macchi is a former member of the Board of Directors for the UNLV Alumni Association, Law Chapter. Macchi also serves as General Counsel to the following companies and organizations: Compassionate Care Health and Wellness Company, Inc. (a medical cannabis company); Parea BioSciences of New Jersey, Inc. (a medical cannabis company); Taffer Consulting Group, LLC (a hospitality consulting company); Kinetic Consulting Group, LLC (a hospitality consulting company); Hemp Source, LLC (a hemp consulting company); and the Democratic Committee of Logan Township (a local political organization). Macchi spends most of his spare time with his children, Derrick (7) and Evan (4). He also coaches youth soccer for Derrick and Evan on the weekends.
